  1. To Make His Praise Glorious - Exodus 15:20

  2. To Rejoice and Usher in God's Presence - Psalm 150:4

  3. To Express Joy and Victory! - II Samuel 6:14

WHY DO WE WE DANCE IN CHURCH?
  1. Many Saints are opposed to dance because they associate it with secular dancing such as "unholy" "grinding" "dirty dancing" "nude dancing." However, the dance belongs to God and is being restored back into the Body of Christ, where it belongs. God is the one who turns our despair into dancing. (Psalm 30:11) He is the one who, as Jeremiah prophesied, calls us to take up our tambourines and "go forth in the dance of the merrymakers." (Jeremiah 31:4)
  2. Acts 2:17 - "In Him, we live, move and have our being." Those of us that are called into the ministry of dance would rather use our bodies as instruments of praise and righteousness than yield them to sin.
  3. Romans 12:1,2 tells us to present our bodies as a living sacrifice, by the mercies of God. And, for many of us in the dance ministry, a transformation takes place in and through us as we dance. We cannot change, he changes us. He does the choreography, gives us direction, and sets us free.

Vision for the Adult Dance Ministry:
To make His praise Glorious by displaying God's strength and power with expressive movement, color, synchronicity and excellence.

The Goal:
To interpret the scriptures through dance. Therefore, all of our songs must be scripturally based.

The Adult Dance Ministry is based on Psalm 103:29
"Praise the Lord you His angels, you mighty ones who do His bidding and obey His Word."

What Should Happen When We Dance? Dance members during Church service
The Dance Ministry members do not come to church to "perform," but they are in service to Worship. CLICK IMAGE TO ENLARGE
  1. We should lead people into Worship,
  2. Our Dance should bring liberation to the people of God and to ourselves, and
  3. Our Dance garments (dresses, ribbons, etc.) should be representative of the God we serve and testify to His greatness.
