Elder Benjamin Stephens, IIIElder Benjamin Stephens III, the only son to Deacon Benjamin and Rita Stephens Jr. is a product of Inglewood, California. He currently serves as the Pastor to Collegiate & Young Adults at the West Angeles Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of Bishop Charles E. Blake.

Elder Stephens has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Whittier College. While there, he served two terms as Black Student Union President, was a four-year Sportsman letter recipient and Captain of the Football team. Elder Stephens holds a Master’s Degree in Divinity from C.H. Mason Theological Seminary at the Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC) in Atlanta, Georgia. He is currently a Doctoral student at Fuller Theological Seminary.

Elder Stephens also serves the International Youth Department of the Church of God in Christ as the President of Young Men of Valor, which ministers to young men within the denomination between the ages of 12-20. At West Angeles, Elder Stephens oversees an awesome Tuesday Night Bible Study of more than 125 Young Adults and Singles and a powerful Collegiate Sunday School Class known as "TruthSeekers", whose revolving theme is M.A.F.I.A., which stands for Ministry and Faith In Action.

Elder Stephens is dedicated to inspiring Young Adults and College students to pursue a life of sanctification and holiness through stimulating Church ministries and resources. His devotion takes him to college campuses where he encourages Young Adults who are in pursuit of Higher Education to continue nurturing a personal spiritual relationship with God through Christ.

Elder Stephens serves the campus of the University of Southern California (USC) as Chaplain to the Higher Learning Pentecostal Ministries and Advisor to the praise-dance team, Anointed Vessels of Praise. In addition, his goal is to facilitate a Bible-study/Prayer group on every College campus within a 10-mile radius of West Angeles Church.

Through the preached Word and his authentic teaching style, Elder Stephens challenges Young Adults/Singles to develop strong, wholesome and Godly relationships supported by biblical truths. He has a passion to take ministry beyond the four walls of the church and into the streets where God’s soldiers belong.

Elder Benjamin Stephens is committed to not only preach the Gospel for Jesus, but to die for it as well!
