A Message to the Young
Adult Ministry from Bishop C. E. Blake:

Bishop Blake & Elder Ben Stephens |
Greetings to you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ!
I
pray that all is well with each and every young adult.
I wanted to take this opportunity to express how pleased I am with the
direction in which the Young Adult Ministry is heading.
The young adults are the up and coming leaders of the Church.
Within the next ten to twenty years or so, many of today’s generation
of young adults will assume roles of increasing significance as the Second
Coming of Christ draws near. I
believe that the Young Adult Ministry here at West Angeles Church is on the
cutting edge of outreach to the generation to which it is called as it provides
sound Biblical instruction, progressive leadership, solid preparation, and
social relevance.
Our
church strives to be a ministry of excellence.
Because God is excellent in everything that He does, His people should
pursue excellence in every endeavor. The
Young Adult Ministry demonstrates excellence in so many ways.
The Tuesday Night Bible Study is thriving and the young adults are
involved in quite a number of effective outreaches, including Sunday School
classes, College Chapels, Christian Social Events, Men’s and Women’s
Accountability groups, and so much more. From
all reports, the Young Adult Ministry here at West Angeles Church is meeting the
needs of young adults in many interesting and exciting ways.
Not only are young adults being provided with quality events, but they
are also being challenged to live lives that are committed to Jesus Christ.
Truly the Young Adult Ministry here at West Angeles Church is a vibrant
example of excellence in every way. Keep
up the good work.

The Young Adult Ministry had a successful year in 2003,
having completed a plethora of programs, projects, events, and ministry
opportunities. The year ended with
the West Angeles Christmas Dinner where over 200 young adults were present.
It is Pastor Stephens’ vision to be in the North Campus sanctuary by
the end of this year with a weekly attendance of 300 in the Tuesday Night Bible
Study. Pastor Stephens would also
like to see a young adult involved in every facet of the overall operation of
West Angeles. His goals are both realistic and doable if the Young Adult
Ministry continues its present path of Holy Spirit-empowered organization and
creativity. May God continue to
prosper your efforts.
Finally, I wish you Godspeed as you continue your
ministry efforts in 2004. May the
upcoming Gospel Bash be an overwhelming success and may the Lord prosper all
your endeavors. Keep striving
toward excellence! I love each and
every one of you with the love of the Lord.
Blessings,
Bishop Charles Edward Blake
